I am not sure it would have changed many of my experiences, but I would have had a map to better understand where I was, what I need to do to keep moving and ultimately where I was headed. If Sam is wrong, nothing will change and the church will continue its downward slide into a remnant. If Sam is right, the church is uniquely and powerfully poised to reach the world.
