An excellent book on the Dot-com bubble and crashBy UsniThe author starts with a history of the web, the emergence of familiar companies like Yahoo! and .com. Then the narrative proceeds like a disaster movie where the masses ignore the warning signs and eventually are punished for their hubris. The prose is excellent and the author clearly has done his research, throwing in historical tidbits about stock market crashes (the South Sea Bubble, TuJohn Cassidy is one of the worldrsquo;s best financial journalists. Dot.con [is] compelling.The Internet stock bubble wasn't just about goggle-eyed day traderstrying to get rich on the Nasdaq and goateed twenty-five-year-olds playing wannabe Bill Gates.
